The Mission of Arcadia City Church is to help people take their next steps toward Jesus. We believe that this is
best done in community and in deep relationship with others. That is why we are so excited to share with you
"The Together Project": a capital campaign seeking to create common spaces for intergenerational ministry.
The data is staggering. Young people are leaving the church in droves. Research shows that nearly two-thirds
of 18-29 year olds who grew up in the church have declared that they have withdrawn from church
involvement as an adult after having been active in church as a child or teen. Many say that it no longer feels
as though the church is relevant for their life. But there's still hope. The research shows that there is increased
likelihood that youth are less likely to leave the church or abandon their faith, if they have vibrant,
intergenerational relationships with others in the church.
In Jesus' day, the space where intergenerational relationships happened was the table. People would gather,
young and old, around the table to eat and have fellowship with one another. It should come as no surprise
that this common space, the table, was where Jesus chose to do the majority of His ministry. As a church, we
desire to do ministry in the same way as Jesus, in common spaces, where young and old can do life with one
another. Unfortunately, our church campus is currently lacking functional areas to accomplish this type of
ministry.
We believe that through "The Together Project" Arcadia City Church can accomplish its vision of carrying out
intentional, intergenerational ministry by creating multiple common spaces specifically designed for
fellowship and doing life together. On this page you will find a glimpse of what we believe God has in store
for this next season of ministry here at ACC, the specific spaces that we are seeking to renovate and build, the
needs in order to accomplish this vision, as well as how you can participate in making this dream a reality.
As a team, we feel so incredibly blessed by the opportunity to serve you and this neighborhood of Phoenix. We
long to see God's kingdom come to Arcadia as it is in heaven, and we believe that "The Together Project" can
help us accomplish this mission.
